Erler and Mareschal-Hay were selected for the Milwaukee Tennis Classic field based on results from last season and Universal Tennis Rankings, and will compete as part of the 32-player singles draw and 16-team doubles draw.

This marks the third time that Cleveland State has been represented at the MTC, and the second straight year for Mareschal-Hay to be making an appearance.

Last season, Mareschal-Hay and Erler were both named to the All-Horizon League First Team, after spending the majority of the spring season playing No. 1 and No. 2 singles, respectively.

Mareschal-Hay finished his sophomore campaign with an 18-16 singles record, while Erler posted a 17-12 singles record during the 2021-22 season. The duo also teamed up on the doubles court, going 6-2 during the spring season, including a 4-1 mark against Horizon League opponents.

Erler and Mareschal-Hay join four returning letterwinners and six newcomers for the 2022-23 campaign, with the group being led by head coach Brian Etzkin who is entering his 21st season with the Vikings.
