Mareschal-Hay and Erler both earned a spot in this year's ITA All-American Championship field based on their performances from last year, and will become the fourth and fifth Vikings to participate in the national tournament over the last four seasons. This will be the third straight year that Cleveland State will be represented at the ITA All-American Championship after last year's event was cancelled.

Entering the weekend Mareschal-Hay owns a 4-3 singles mark on the season, while Erler is 1-3 after the first two weeks of the fall campaign.

This will mark the third tournament of the fall for Mareschal-Hay, as he also earned an invite to the Milwaukee Tennis Classic, while Mareschal-Hay and Erler both participated in the Bobby Bayliss Invitational.

Mareschal-Hay is beginning his sophomore season at Cleveland State as the reigning Horizon League Freshman of the Year, while Erler is joining the Vikings this season as a sophomore transfer.
