Doubles Teams Lead The Way On Final Day Of WMU/Vredevelt Invite

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Cleveland State men's tennis team wrapped up action at the WMU/Vredevelt Invite Sunday afternoon, picking up three doubles wins on the day.

Cleveland State picked up two of its doubles wins against teams from Western Michigan, and one doubles victory against a duo from Xavier.

The Viking duo of Benjamin Slade and Nico Mostardi went 2-0 on the final day of play, posting an 8-5 win against WMU and an 8-7 (5) victory against Xavier. Slade and Mostardi finished the weekend with a perfect 3-0 doubles record.

Kevin Goth and William Malm also picked up a doubles win Sunday, earning an 8-7 victory against a Western Michigan tandem.

Cleveland State will now take a break from competition, as the Vikings won't return to action until the end of October, when they participate in the ITA Midwest Regional (October 20 – October 23).
