CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Cleveland State swimming and diving teams will be teaming up with Olympic gold and silver medalist swimmer Diana Munz for the inaugural Kids Kicking Cancer swimming skills clinic. The event will be held at the Robert F. Busbey Natatorium on CSU's campus on Saturday (Dec. 11), beginning at 12:00 noon.

"On behalf of our entire team, I am proud to say we are very excited to promote the sport of swimming by working with kids who want to participate in the activity," said Wally Morton, the head coach of both the CSU men's and women's teams.

"This will give us the opportunity to have fun while reaching out to those who want to experience the sport of swimming."

The goal of the event will be to encourage patients of cancer and blood disorders to be active and to recognize the health benefits of physical activity.

The event is made possible with the generous support of Iris S. Wolstein, in memory of her husband, Bert L. Wolstein.

All participants will receive free swim goggles, swim cap and towel and will be entered in a drawing for two tickets to the Cleveland Browns' game against the Baltimore Ravens on Dec. 26.

Registration will begin at 11:30 a.m. and the event is scheduled to run until 2:30 p.m. Donations will accepted at the event.
