CLEVELAND - Senior Warren Vickers, who won a pair of events on Saturday as the Viking men's swimming and diving team defeated Eastern Michigan, has been named the Horizon League men's Swimmer of the Week, the league office announced today.

Vickers won the 200 individual medley and the 100 freestyle against Eastern Michigan, and posted a time of 44.90 in leading off the winning 400 freestyle relay to help Cleveland State to the win. Earlier in the week against Baldwin-Wallace and Gannon, Vickers narrowly missed setting the 50 freestyle school record, winning that event in 20.80, just .08 seconds off the school mark.

This is the second time in the last three weeks that a CSU men's swimmer has received the honor. Vickers joins Pieter Pelser, who won the award after opening the season with a school record in the opening leg of the 400 medley relay on Oct. 31 against Miami.

The Vikings are off until Tuesday, Nov. 25, when they travel to Columbus for a meet with Ohio State.
