CLEVELAND - The Cleveland State men's and women's swimming and diving teams will head to Olean, N.Y., on Saturday, Nov. 8, for a dual meet with St. Bonaventure. Saturday's meet will start at 1 p.m.

About the Viking Men
The Vikings (2-0, 1-0 HL) opened the season with a pair of wins at home last weekend, defeating Miami, 136-107, on Friday, before opening the Horizon League season with a 131-111 win over UW-Green Bay on Saturday. Pieter Pelser (Krugersdorp, South Africa/Grey College) led off the season by breaking the school record in the 100 backstroke as the opening leg of the 400 medley relay. The Vikings also claimed their first win over Miami in head coach and Miami alumnus Wally Morton's 23-year career.

About the Viking Women
The Vikings (1-1, 0-1 HL) lost to UW-Green Bay, 152.5-70.5, in their home opener on Saturday to even their record. Marianne Lionell (Sodertalje, Sweden/Ragnhildsgymnasiet) picked up a pair of wins on the day for the Vikings, winning the 200 breaststroke and the 50 freestyle.

Watch For Falling Records
Two school records fell over the weekend, one for each the men and the women. Pieter Pelser took down the 100 backstroke record in the opening leg of the 400 medley relay, the opening swim of the season for the men, while Marianne Lionell claimed the 200 breaststroke record by more than a second against UW-Green Bay.

Counting Down The Wins
Men's head coach Wally Morton has compiled 190 wins in his 23 seasons as head coach, including his 2-0 mark this season. Morton is the winningest head coach in the history of Cleveland State swimming and diving, and could hit the 200-win plateau if the Vikings can win 10 of the 12 meets remaining on the schedule.

Up Next
The men and women will welcome Gannon and Baldwin-Wallace for a meet on Nov. 12 at 3 p.m., before hosting Eastern Michigan on three days later.
