CLEVELAND - Cleveland State men's swimming head coach Wally Morton has announced the signing of Cleveland Brown V (Shaker Heights, Ohio/Shaker Heights) to a National Letter of Intent.

Brown's time of 20.52 in the 50 freestyle at the USA Swimming Sectional Championship in March ranks him second in the 50 free among all sprinters in the nation coming out of high school (based on the latest rankings). In addition, Brown swam a 46.31 in the 100 free and 51.88 in the 100 butterfly at the same meet. He is currently training with the Lake Erie Silver Dolphins.

"Cleveland is one of the premier sprinters in the nation," said Morton. "He will give our 200 freestyle relay team a chance to qualify for the NCAA Division I National Championships." The CSU men's swimming team has claimed two of the last four Midwestern Collegiate Conference championships.
