CLEVELAND, Ohio - Senior Chris Dalman was named the Horizon League Diver of the Week, marking the seventh time this year he has won the honor. The league office made the announcement on Wednesday (Jan. 31).

Dalman set a school record in the three-meter dive with a score of 405.15 in Cleveland State's 147-96 win over Miami (Ohio) this past Saturday. He already owns the school record in the one-meter dive, a mark of 415.40 set against UIC last year.

He also scored a season-best 370.65 in the one-meter dive against the RedHawks.

"Setting the record was his best performance of the year," diving coach Rich Karban said. "And that says a lot because he has been so good all year. He has worked hard and he's seeing the results he wants to see."

Dalman has placed first in 25 of 26 diving events in dual competition, with his only loss coming against Ohio State on Nov. 21. The Auburn, Wash. native has also defeated two 2006 NCAA qualifiers (Kellen Harkness of Ohio State and Michael Bulfin of Notre Dame) this year.

The Vikings (10-3) close the regular season at UIC on Saturday, Feb. 3 at 2:00 p.m. The Horizon League Championships are set for Feb. 21-24 in Chicago, Ill.
