COLUMBUS, Ohio - Dan Baiko's remarkable season came to an end at the NCAA Zone C Diving meet on Saturday at Ohio State as the senior posted a 32nd place finish in the one-meter dive.

"As a whole, Dan dove similarly to yesterday," diving coach Rich Karban said, "He wasn't terrible, he just was a little off. He didn't bring his 'A' game. I don't know if it was just pressure, but he didn't do what he was capable of doing."

Baiko posted a score of 235.25 in the one-meter preliminary round to be eliminated from the event, ending his outstanding season.

Baiko was honored as Horizon League diver of the week a total of five times this season, and was honored as the diver of the year after his performance at the league championship after winning both the one-meter and three-meter dives.

The Vikings return to action from March 27-29, as Jakub Dobies will compete at the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships, held at Weyerhauser King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way, Wash.
