Kate Inozemtseva

Kate Inozemtseva enters her fourth season as an assistant coach with the Cleveland State swimming and diving program.

Inozemtseva has coached two Horizon League Swimmers of the Year in her first three years at CSU and has helped the men’s program to a pair of runner-up finishes at the conference championships.

Inozemtseva helped Philipp Sikatzki to the highest honor in CSU history as he earned All-America accolades with a fourth-place finish at the 2016 NCAA Championships in the 100 Butterfly. Sikatzki also swam in two other events at the NCAA Championships. Inozemtseva has assisted her student-athletes in securing 13 conference titles (individual or relay races) at CSU. She also helped Molly McNamara to Horizon League Women’s Freshman of the Year honors in 2016.

Prior to arriving at CSU, Inozemtseva directed and monitored training programs for sprint and mid-distance swimmers at Fairmont State. Her efforts helped the program earn five All-America honors and set 26 school records.

In addition, Inozemtseva led the Fairmont Area Swim team over the last three years. She was the West Virginia Age Group Coach of the Year in 2011. She also was a personal fitness trainer at the World Class Fitness Center in N. Novgorod, Russia from 2006-08.

Inozemtseva has more than 17 years of success at the international level and was an alternate for the 2000 Olympics in Sydney. An Olympic Trial qualifier in 2000 and 2004, she participated at the Swimming World Cup in 2004 and 2005 and was a runner-up at the Russian National Championship in 2001 and 2002.

She won the conference championships in the 50 and 100 free in 2008 at Fairmont State where she holds multiple school records.

Inozemtseva earned her Bachelor's of Science in marketing and her Master's of Education in Exercise Science in 2013. Both degrees were earned at Fairmont State.
