Swimming & Diving Teams Earn Scholar All-America Honors

CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Cleveland State men's and women's swimming and diving teams both earned earned the 2016 Spring College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Team Scholar All-America Award.

To be selected as a CSCAA Scholar All-America Team, programs must have achieved a grade point average of 3.00 or higher over the Spring semester. 

The CSU men's squad posted a 3.39 grade point average – ranking 12th among Division I schools and leading the Horizon League honorees – while the women's team sported a 3.29 GPA to rank third among league teams.

A total of 658 swimming and diving teams, representing 388 colleges and universities were honored as Scholar All-America teams.

Founded in 1922, the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) – the oldest organization of college coaches in America -is a professional organization of college swimming and diving coaches dedicated to serving and providing leadership for the advancement of the sport of swimming & diving at the collegiate level.
