Five Vikings In Action On First Day Of Ohio State Winter Invite

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Five Vikings were in action during the first day of the Ohio State Winter Invite Saturday, as the Cleveland State men's and women's swimming and diving teams are competing in their final tune-up before the Horizon League Championships.

For the women, Larissa Czupik and Abigail Kaple participated in the 100 freestyle, with Czupik finishing fifth in the finals (53.74) and Kaple placing 13th (54.45). During prelim action, Czupik posted a time of 53.40 in the 100 free, while Kaple notched a time of 54.59.

On the men's side, Terrence Morris competed in the 100 and 500 freestyle, while Ryan Johnson and Alex Strawser swam in the 100 breaststroke. Morris finished sixth in the 500 free finals (4:52.16), after posting a 4:54.19 prelim time, and placed 26th in the 100 free finals (50.69).

Johnson and Strawser both competed in the 100 breaststroke, with Johnson placing eighth with a time of 59.45 (prelim time of 59.12) and Strawser placing ninth with a time of 1:00.79 (prelim time of 1:01.12).

Vikings will wrap up action at the Ohio State Winter Invite tomorrow (Sunday, February 14), with the following events:
