Vikings Fall To Buffalo In Final Dual Meet Of 2015-16

BUFFALO, N.Y. – The Cleveland State men's and women's swimming and diving teams competed in their final dual meet of the 2015-16 season Saturday, as both teams fell to Buffalo (Men: 209-89 – Women: 225-68).

Men's Swim & Dive
The men were paced by first place finishes from Philipp Sikatzki, Tommi Wolst, and Szymon Golczyk, as this trio combined for four individual victories. Sikatzki posted a pair of first place finishes in the 200 free (1:39.95) and 100 free (45.65), while Wolst picked up his win in the 200 back (1:51.46) and Golczyk earned his victory in the 100 fly (48.67).

Cleveland State also picked up a pair of individual second place finishes from Danny Roberts in the 1-meter diving event (297.00) and Jonathan LaValle in the 100 back (52.23).

The Vikings were also able to post second place finishes in the 200 medley relay (1:30.26) and the 200 free relay (1:23.64).

Women's Swim & Dive
On the women's side, the Vikings were led by Molly McNamara who recorded Cleveland State's lone first place finish in the 200 individual medley (2:11.10). McNamara also posted a second place finish in the 100 fly (58.24).

The Vikings were able to post two additional second place finishes on the day, as Tobie Zeller finished second in the 100 breast (1:07.39) and Tori Taffner earned a second place finish in the 3-meter diving event (264.83).

Next weekend the Vikings will compete at the Ohio State Winter Invite, which will take place on Saturday, February 13 and Sunday, February 14.
