Eight Different Vikings Win Races as CSU Tops Gannon, 158-68

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland State men's swimming and diving team won all 13 events on Saturday afternoon to earn a 158-68 victory over Gannon at Busbey Natatorium.

The win improved the Vikings to 2-1 this season.

CSU opened the events in the pool with a win in the 200 medley relay as Tommi Wolst, Gage Alleman, Szymon Golczyk and Robert Tolson won with a time of 1:32.74.

Philipp Sikatzki, last week's Horizon League Athlete of the Week, and Wolst both won two events this afternoon. Sikatzki claimed the 100 butterfly and the 100 breaststroke, while Wolst won the 200 IM and the 500 freestyle.

Other winners included Phillip Brittain in the 1,000 freestyle, Golczyk in the 200 freestyle, Tolson in the 50 freestyle, Sean Mulvin in the 100 freestyle and Aidan Burton in the 100 backstoke.

The team of Burton, Mulvin, Tolson and Declan McLaughlin combined to win the 400 freestyle relay with a time of 3:09.85 to conclude the meet.

Danny Roberts won both diving events, claiming the 1-meter board with a score of 290.25 and the 3-meter board with a 315.90 total.

The Vikings are out of action until Nov. 7 when CSU hosts Marshall and St. Bonaventure at 1:00 pm in Busbey Natatorium.
