CLEVELAND - Two days after being involved in all five goals in a dramatic 5-4 overtime win over UIC, junior forward Stephen Ademolu (Windsor, Ont., Can./Herman) has earned Horizon League Player of the Week honors for the second time this season, the Horizon League office announced today.

Ademolu scored his second hat trick of the season in Saturday's home opening victory, each time scoring with the Vikings trailing by one, and sending the game into overtime tied at four. Ademolu also assisted on the other two Viking goals in the game, including David Stewart's gamewinner with five seconds left in the first overtime period. The eight points on the day by Ademolu tied a Krenzler Field record, originally set by Nick Stavrou's three goals and two assists against New Mexico on Oct. 5, 1990.

Saturday's three-goal output by Ademolu was the second time he recorded the feat this season, as he scored three times in a 4-3 Viking win over Robert Morris on Sept. 3. That scoring outburst earned him league player of the week honors for the first time in his career and was also the first time in six years that a Viking soccer player earned league recognition.

The Vikings host Pittsburgh on Wednesday, Sept. 24, and UW-Milwaukee on Friday, Sept. 26, at Krenzler Field. Both games begin at 7 p.m.
