Cleveland, Ohio - After leading the team in goals the duo of Slavisa Ubiparipovic (Mentor, Ohio) and Mitch Boyer (Parma, Ohio) were named to the 2008 NCAA Division 1 Men's All-Ohio team.

The honors were announced in St. Louis during the National Soccer Coaches Association of America in late January.

"This is a nice accomplishment for Mitch and Slavisa," said head coach Ali Kazemaini. "It shows that the coaches around Ohio understand what these two young men mean to our program."

Ubiparipovic, a forward, was an offensive threat all season leading the team with five goals, four assists and 14 total points. He netted two game winning, earning first team All-Horizon League honors.

Boyer, a defenseman, started all 20 games for the Vikings totaling 11 points with five goals to earn second team All-Horizon League honors for the second straight season. His five goals came on only 10 shots on goal resulting in a 59-percent shot on goal average. He was the only Viking to attempt a penalty kick and took full advantage cashing in on four of his five chances.

The Vikings finished the 2008 season with an overall record of 9-8-3 and advanced to the Horizon League Championship for the first time since 2002.
