Fairborn, Oh A goal in the 77th minute put Wright State up for good as the Vikings lost to the Raiders 2-1 on Sunday afternoon (Oct. 21).

The loss drops CSU to 3-10-2, 0-5-1 HL), while Wright State improves to (4-11-0, 2-4-0 HL).

Cleveland State started the scoring just six minutes into the match when Eric Tattersall scored as Josh Williams made a nice pass to Tattersal, who hammered a shot from 15 yards out to give CSU a 1-0 lead.

"The wind was a factor for both teams," head coach Ali Kazemaini said. "Tattersall's goal got caught in the wind and surprised Wright State's keeper."

Wright State evened the score at 1-1 in the 38th minute when Braden Fleak scored his second goal of the season off a nice cross from the right flank from Tony Labudovski., Fleak gathered in the cross and tapped the ball into the net on the left side of the goal.

"That was another bad goal that we gave up," Kazemaini said. "We're up 1-0 late in the half and we failed to clear the ball. That was a huge momentum swing."

Wright State went ahead for good during the 77th minute when Jordon Haggit crossed a ball from the right flank that deflected off goalkeeper Dan Duric and into the goal.

"We need to find away to win one of these games," Kazemaini said. "I think it will do us some good to get some confidence going. We're wound so tight and we need to relax a little bit.

"On any given night we can give any team in the Horizon League a game," Kazemaini said. "We are a very young team; I'm looking forward to seeing this team come together in the years to come."

The Vikings return home for the final time this season on Friday (Oct. 26) with a 7:30 p.m. match. The contest will serve as senior night for Viking Seniors. Todd Sadd and Roshard Gilbert will be honored in a pre-match ceremony.
