Senior David Stewart got the Vikings a 1-0 lead with a tally at the 7:34 mark from five yards out. The goal was Stewart's team-leading sixth of the season and gave the Vikings confidence for the rest of the match.
David had a very nice goal for us early," head coach Ali Kazemaini said. "We are really clicking on offense right now and the best part is it's at the right time."
The Raiders tied the match in the 36th minute when Josh Grossman scored from 25 yards out, sneaking the ball just inside the far post.
After an evenly played second half (11-9 shot advantage for WSU), the match went into overtime and set the stage for freshman George Kephart's game-winner.

"George had two really big goals for us this week," Kazemaini said. "He is really playing well and with lots of confidence right now."
Stewart and Kephart each had five shots with three on goal. Sophomore Kasey Gray played the entire match in goal and posted six saves.
The win clinches the fifth seed in the Horizon League Championship and sets up a first round match for the Vikings on the road at the school that finishes in fourth. UW-Milwaukee and Loyola are the two likely candidates to host the Vikings in the first round contest, which we be held on Sat. Oct. 28.
