Opening Whistle
The Vikings are back home for Horizon League play tomorrow evening against Northern Kentucky at 7 p.m. Cleveland State is still searching for its first victory in league play.

Last Game Out
The Green and White dropped a 2-1 non-league game at Dayton on Tuesday evening. The Flyers tallied goals in the 18th and 19th minutes to lead 2-0. Pablo Kawecki broke up the shutout in the 34th minute after converting a penalty kick.

About Northern Kentucky
The Norse are 2-4-3 overall after picking up a 2-1 non-conference victory over Western Illinois at home on Tuesday. In league play, NKU is 1-2-0 as they were shutout by Detroit in their most recent Horizon content. Sam Robinson leads the offense with four goals, while Ben Hegge is the top assister with four. Nic Lemen has been the primary goalkeeper, appearing in eight games with 30 saves and two shutouts.

Series History
This will be the ninth matchup, as NKU holds a 4-2-2 advantage. Last season, the Norse came out on top, 2-1, after scoring the game-winner with just 12 seconds left in regulation. The last meeting in Cleveland saw the Green and White win 2-1.

Goal Streak
Pablo Kawecki has scored in three straight games and took the team lead in goals with four on the year. The senior now has 21 in his career.

Preseason Poll
Cleveland State was picked to finish first in the Horizon League preseason poll, as voted on by the league's ten coaches. The Vikings finished with nine of the ten first-place votes for 99 total points. IUPUI was selected second with the final first-place vote for 80 points, and Oakland was third with 71 points.
