Cleveland State Men's Soccer Collects Three All-Region Awards

Cleveland State had three players named to the United Coaches 2022 NCAA Division 1 Men's All-Region Teams. The Vikings were represented by Jannis Schmidt, Bojan Kolevski, and Pablo Kawecki.

BOJAN KOLEVSKI | FIRST TEAM
Kolevski, a junior from Skopje, North Macedonia, earned First Team All-Region honors for the second straight season. This season, he was named Horizon League Player of the Year and earned his second straight Offensive Player of the Year recognition. The three-time All-Horizon League honoree, started all 20 games, scoring a team-best ten goals while adding five assists for a team-best 25 points.

JANNIS SCHMIDT | FIRST TEAM
Schmidt, a senior from Gensingen, Germany, received his second straight First Team All-Region recognition. The First Team All-League honoree appeared in 19 games with 18 starts at midfield. He totaled six goals and five assists for 17 points. This season, Schmidt earned two Horizon League Player of the Week awards and was named to the NCAA Team of the Week once.

PABLO KAWECKI | THIRD TEAM
Kawecki, a senior from Alcobendas, Spain, earned All-Region honors for the first time. The First Team All-League player, started all 20 games on the year, scoring nine goals and adding four assists for 22 points. He led the Horizon League and team in game-winning goals with three.
