Men's Soccer Set To Host Detroit In Horizon League Quarterfinals

The fourth-seeded Cleveland State men's soccer team will host fifth-seeded Detroit on Monday night (Nov. 9) at 7:00 p.m. in the first round of the Horizon League tournament at Krenzler Field.

The Vikings are coming off a 1-0 victory over previously unbeaten UIC on Friday while the Titans earned a 2-0 win over Belmont. The Vikings and Titans played to a 1-1 double overtime draw in their first meeting this season on October 3rd.

CSU is led by Jake Lagania (15 points on 5 goals, 5 assists) and a defense that includes goalkeeper Aleksandar Drobac (6-3-2) and Sergio Manesio, Mustafa Raychouni, James Milli, Kareem Banton and Nick Kane. CSU has shutout five of its last six opponents and given up just one goal since October 10th.

The winnner will advance to the Horizon League semifinals on Thursday (Nov. 12) in Chicago vs. either UIC or Oakland.
