• After their longest time away from competition in nearly a month, the Vikings will play their lone match of the week this Saturday (Oct. 31) at 8:00 p.m. EST at Green Bay.
• CSU finished last week 0-1-1, dropping a 1-0 decision at Ohio State on a goal with just 13 seconds remaining in regulation. The team then played to a 0-0 double overtime draw with Milwaukee on Saturday.
• The Vikings have now held the opposition scoreless in three of their last four games with the late goal from Ohio State the only goal in that stretch. That is the best defensive stretch for the team since the 2012 team's Horizon League Championship run where they went 3-0-1 from Oct. 27 - Nov. 11.
• Cleveland State entered the week tied for the last spot in the Horzion League tournament. The Vikings have eight conference points, knotted with both Green Bay and Detroit.
Jake Lagania still ranks in the top-10 in the Horizon League in points (T-2nd), goals (T-4th), assists (T-6th) and shots (T-9th). Lagania's team-leading 13 points are an improvement for the team-leader from last season when Sergio Manesio had 11.
• At 2-0-1, CSU has the second-longest unbeaten streak in conference games behind only UIC AT 4-0-2.
• With the tie against Milwaukee, the Vikings have already improved their overall points total from last season. In 2014, the team was 6-12-1, earning 19 points. The team's 6-7-2 record now has the team at 20.
• With his start in goal against Milwaukee, Aleksandar Drobac has now logged over 1,000 minutes in goal during his tenure in green and white. The tie, which was the third shutout in the last four games, moved his record to 4-3-2.
• This season, the Vikings have goals from seven different players (Lagania, 5), (Manesio, 3), (Dan Koniarczyk, 2), (Gianluca DiFranco, 2), (Victor Zamora, 2), (Antonio Burgoa, 1), (Hesham Hammouda, 1).
• CSU has a long history with Green Bay as this will be 40th all-time meeting between the two. While the Phoenix own a slight advantage at 19-16-4, the teams have played to an even 2-2-1 record over the last five.
• Cleveland State will finish the regular season next Friday (Nov. 6) at UIC at 8:00 p.m. The Vikings have won four of their last five against UIC.
