• Cleveland State will play at Ohio State this Wednesday (Oct. 21) at 7:00 p.m. and will host Milwaukee on Saturday (Oct. 24) at 1:00 p.m. The match at Ohio State will conclude the Vikings non-conference slate with the match against Milwaukee the final regular season home game.
• Saturday will be Senior Day for six CSU players playing in their last regular season game at Krenzler Field; Mustafa Raychouni, Nick Kane, Victor Zamora, Alvaro Pichardo, Cheo Armstrong and Aleksandar Drobac
• The Vikings won both of their games last week, both shutouts, topping Pittsburgh 1-0 on a goal from Dan Koniarczyk and Belmont 1-0 on a goal from Zamora. This is the team's first three-game win streak since nearly the same exact dates in 2013 (Oct. 12, 16, 23). That stretch was also the last time CSU won back-to-back shutouts.
• The wins allowed head coach Ali Kazemaini to grab his 250th career win (250-169-33) and also gave the Vikings a slight lead in the all-time series with Belmont, 3-2.
• The three-game win streak is currently the longest streak in the Horizon League.
• In conference games this season, the Vikings rank in the top five as a team in goals, assists, points, goals per game, assists per game, saves and corners.
Jake Lagania still leads the league in conference goals (3) and is second in points (7) and shots (20).
• Lagania and Alec Nagucki both recorded assists last week; Lagania to Koniarczyk, Nagucki to Zamora.
• The Vikings are one of just two teams in the Horizon League to have at least five players score multiple goals this season (Lagania (5), Sergio Manesio (3), Dan Koniarczyk (2), Gianluca DiFranco (2), Zamora (2)).
• Drobac has continued his strong play in goal for CSU, improving his overall record to 4-2-1. Drobac has registered two straight shutouts and over the three-game W streak has made 15 saves.
• Koniarczyk's goal vs. Pittsburgh gave him five points on the season. In games he has scored a point, the Vikings are a perfect 3-0.
Brent Nanchoff made his collegiate and Cleveland State debut in the win over Belmont, totalling two shots, one on goal, in 20 minutes of action.
• The Cleveland State defense of James Milli, Kareem Banton, Manesio and Raychouni has remained consistent and have been a large part of the two straight shutouts.
• The Vikings own a 14-11-1 all-time series advantage over Ohio State. CSU and Milwaukee will meet for the 46th time with the Panthers holding a 26-16-3 lead. Aside from their 55 meetings with Akron, the series with Milwaukee is the longest in Cleveland State program history.
• Entering the week, the Vikings are tied for the final qualifying spot into the Horizon League tournament. The team will have two more opportunies to leap in the standings after this week as they enter the final weeks of the season with contests at Green Bay (Oct. 31) and UIC (Nov. 6). Both games will begin at 8:00 p.m. EST.
