• Cleveland State will play a pair of games this week, traveling to Pittsburgh for a non-conference pairing with the Panthers on Tuesday (Oct. 13) before coming back to Krenzler Field on Saturday (Oct. 17) for a Horizon League meeting with Belmont. Both matches will begin at 7:00 p.m.
• The Vikings split two matches last week, dropping their first-ever meeting with Northern Kentucky, 2-1, before earning their first Horizon League win of the season at Oakland, 4-3 in overtime.
• Following the win at Oakland, CSU improved to an impressive 38-0 since the 2010 season in games they've scored two goals or more.
• With his two goals against Oakland and an assist on Victor Zamora's goal vs. Northern Kentucky, Jake Lagania continued his standout play since swtiching from defense to offense earlier in the season. Lagania is now tied for the league-lead in goals (5), points (12), and points per game (1.09). He is also in the top-10 in shots, shots per game, goals per game and assists. In Horizon League matches, he is in sole possession of the league-lead in goals (3) and near the top in every offensive category.
Sergio Manesio is tied with several others in the top-10 in overal goals scored (3) and is one of just eight Horizon League players with more than one goal in league games.
• Manesio and Lagania became the only Horizon League teammates to each score multiple goals in the same game this season (2 each vs. Oakland).
• With their four goals and two assists (Alec Nagucki, Dan Koniarczyk) against the Golden Grizzlies, the Vikings are the only team with four goals in a Horizon League match this season and have the highest point total in a Horizon League contest (10). It was the highest single-game goal total for CSU since a 5-2 win over Detroit in 2013 and just the sixth time in as many seasons they scored four goals or more in a game.
Aleksandar Drobac's eight saves vs. Oakland are tied for second-most in a game this season by a Horizon League keeper. In four conference games so far, Drobac ranks third in saves (21).
• Since 2010, the Vikings have played 23 overtime games and have a 10-6-7 (.586) record in those games.
• The longest-tenured member of the Cleveland State roster, Victor Zamora, scored his first-career goal vs. Northern Kentucky off of an assist from Lagania in the 11th minute.
• CSU head coach Ali Kazemaini entered the 2015 season with 244 career wins. Entering this week, he is now just two wins shy of 250.
• The Vikings will look to knot the all-time series with Pittsburgh and take a lead against Belmont. As it sits, Pitt owns a 6-5-4 advantage over CSU while the series with Belmont is even at two wins apiece. Cleveland State has won two of the last three games against both schools.
• Following this week, the Vikings will have just one last game at Krenzler Field in 2015 when they host Milwaukee on Oct. 24 for a 1:00 p.m. match. Before that, though, the Vikings will play their final non-conference game of the year at Ohio State on Wednesday (Oct. 21).
