CSU Earns Another League Win on Road, 3-1, at Wright State

FAIRBORN, Ohio - Alec Nagucki scored two goals and Jake Lagania added another as Cleveland State earned another Horizon League road win, defeating Wright State, 3-1, on Wednesday night at Alumni Field.

The Vikings improved to 5-7 overall and 3-1 in the Horizon League with all three wins coming on the road. WSU fell to 7-5-1 overall and 2-3 in the Horizon League.

Wright State took the lead at the 43:45 mark with a goal by Peguy Ngatcha and an assist from Eric Lynch, which gave Ngatcha his fifth goal of the season. But the Vikings fought back with three second half goals in moving to nine points in the league ledger.

Nagucki scored his second goal of the season just five minutes into the second half off assists from Kevin Blackwood and Mike Derezic and added another tally just five minutes later to give CSU a 2-1 lead. Blackwood once again had the assist.

Lagania sealed the game with his first goal of the season coming off an assist from Mike Matlock with just over three minutes to play.

The Vikings and Raiders each had 12 shots throughout the game as Nick Ciraldo made three saves for the Vikings in goal.

The Vikings return to action on Saturday (Oct. 18) when CSU hosts Valparaiso at 7:00 p.m. at Krenzler Field.
