Men's Soccer Falls at Cincinnati, 2-0

CINCINNATI, Ohio - The Cleveland State men's soccer team returned to action after a 10 day layoff and fell at Cincinnati, 2-0, on Wednesday night at Gettler Stadium.

The Vikings fell to 2-5 this year, while Cincinnati improved to 3-3-2.

Cincinnati took the lead at the 24:08 mark with a goal by John Manga and an assist from Ashani Walker. Later in the second half, Manga scored his second goal of the game with an assist from Matt Remaley, which was enough to seal the game.

Cleveland State outshot Cincinnati 16-7, as Aleksander Drobac had one save for the Vikings in his first appearance this season.

The Vikings also held a 10-0 advantage in corner kicks.

The Vikings will play their seventh of eight straight road matches on Saturday (Sept. 27) when CSU opens Horizon League play at Milwaukee. Kickoff is slated for 8:00 p.m. EST.
