•The Cleveland State men's soccer team continues the 2014 regular season with two matches this week.

• The Vikings start the week on Wednesday (Sept. 24) with a 7:00 p.m. match at Cincinnati and their first league game at Milwaukee on Saturday (Sept. 27) at 8:00 p.m.

• Cincinnati's record is 2-3-2 and Milwaukee is 3-4 this year.

• The matches will continue a stretch of eight straight games away from home for the Vikings.

• The Vikings are 2-4 this year and have not played since dropping two matches in California two weeks ago.

• CSU fell 6-1 at #18 California (Sept. 12) and 2-0 at Sacramento State (Sept. 14). 

• California pulled away from CSU with four second half goals while Sacramento State scored two early first half goals that was enough to defeated the Vikings.

• Senior Mike Matlock scored his first goal of the season against #18 California.

Nick Ciraldo played all 180-minutes in goal in the two matches and made seven saves against California and a total of nine saves for the weekend. 

• The Vikings return 12 letterwinners and five starters from last year's squad.

• The roster also features 14 newcomers, including nine freshmen and five transfers.

• The Vikings will play just six home matches this year with 11 contests on the road. CSU will play eight straight matches away from home from Aug. 31 through Oct. 4.

• CSU will play four games this year against teams that advanced to the NCAA Championship last season (Akron, California, Milwaukee, Wake Forest).

• CSU will finalize its eight game road trip at Belmont on Saturday (Oct. 4) at 3:00 p.m. The Vikings return to home to host Bowling Green at 7:00 p.m. at Krenzler Field on Tuesday (Oct. 7) at 7 p.m.
