VALPARAISO, IN- VALPARAISO, IN- The Cleveland State Vikings earned their second tie of the season Saturday night, ending the 110 minute double overtime game 0-0 on the road against Horizon League opponent Valparaiso.

The low scoring battle could have been expected coming into the contest, as the two teams matched up with the top two goals-against-average goalies in the league in Valparaiso's Kyle Zobeck and CSU's Brad Stuver. Both goalies currently allow less than one goal a game.

For Head Coach Ali Kazemaini, Stuver's play was one of the biggest keys to allowing CSU to walk away with at least a tie.

"Stuver was huge," Kazemaini said. "He made some miraculous saves to keep us in the game."

Stuver ended the night with three saves, earning his league leading sixth shutout of the year.

On the offensive side of the field, while the Vikings were able to get shots, none found the back of the net.

"We had some really good chances to win the game," Kazemaini said. "We had three of four chances where we had really good chances to score and I thought we should have scored."

CSU got off nine shots in total, with six of those being shots on goal. Aaron Adkins led the way for the Vikings with three shots on goal.

The Vikings will now move to 1-1-1 in league play, and will look to improve that record next Saturday as they take on Milwaukee at 7:00 p.m. at Krenzler Field.
