Following a tough 2-0 loss to Brown Friday night despite playing well, the Cleveland State Vikings bounced back Sunday afternoon to get a hard fought 3-2 overtime win over the Siena Saints to conclude the Brown Tournament.

The Vikings got on the board early in this one as senior forward Cazz Warren found junior forward Admir Suljevic on the left side and Suljevic found the top right side of the goal to give CSU a 1-0 lead just two plus minutes into play.

CSU continued to put the pressure on in the first half as senior forward Aaron Adkins knocked in his first goal of the season from 30 yards out in the 36th minute to give the Vikings a 2-0 lead heading into the break

Head Coach Ali Kazemaini was happy with the way the team played in that first half of play, but still looking for the team to not let up in the second half.

"First half was good but second half we kind of relaxed which we've been working on not doing," Kazemaini said. "They came back but the response was really good after they tied."

Despite the 2-0 lead, things would get interesting the rest of the way because of that relaxation as Siena came back strong with two second half goals in the 61st and 70th minutes to tie the game and send it to overtime.

The two teams battled for 20 minutes in the extra overtime session before Cleveland State finally put the game away for good.

Freshman forward Alfonso Sandoval brought the ball in, drawing the goalie out, and then found Warren with an open look and goal to send the Vikings home happy in the 102nd minute.

CSU will look to keep that momentum going as they take on Bowling Green this Friday in their home opener, 7:00 p.m. at Krenzler Field.
