CLEVELAND, Ohio- The Cleveland State Vikings (4-4-0. 0-1-0) fell down early Saturday afternoon and were never able to recover, falling 3-1 to Detroit on the road to start Horizon League play.

The Titans got on the board early putting their first goal in the back of the net at the 14:57 mark in the first half. Matt Nedwicki headed in a free kick from Kevin Pinkos to give Detroit the lead.

Detroit was not done scoring, as after getting that 1-0 lead it became the Adam Bedell show offensively for the home team. Bedell, the league leader in goals scored this season, scored his first goal of the game at the 22 minute mark before then putting in a second goal in the 52nd minute off a corner kick to help put the game away at 3-0 for the Titans.

"Real disappointed, kind of didn't have anybody show up to play today," said Cleveland State Head Coach Ali Kazemaini. "They outplayed us pretty much in every aspect, we got beat on our assignments."

Looking at the stats Detroit seemed to be in charge most of the contest as they out-shot the Vikings 10-6 and out-shot CSU 7-2 in shots on goal.

Admir Suljevic was able to score his second goal of the season in the 90th minute off a penalty kick to end the game on a positive note for Cleveland State.

The Vikings will be looking to bounce back on the road twice next week as they take on Cincinnati Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. before then playing Wisconsin Saturday at 8:00 p.m.
