CLEVELAND, Ohio- The Cleveland State Vikings put on one of their most complete offensive shows of the season Tuesday afternoon, taking down the Belmont Bruins 4-0 at home on Krenzler Field.

Following a slow first half in which the Bruins seemed to control possession and momentum, one goal got on the board and it changed the whole game.

Fortunately for the Vikings, that goal was for the home team.

"Belmont played well the first 25-30 minutes, they were on the ball a little more than we would like them to be," said Head Coach Ali Kazemaini on the slow start. "But we've talked about having to weather the storm and when we get our chances just do our thing."

Do their thing they did, as Vikings' forward Cazz Warren put that first goal in the back of the net in the 41st minute of play scoring off a pass from Cameron Eisses to get CSU rolling.

That momentum from that first half goal kept right on going in the second 45 minutes of play as the home team started to pull away for good and spread the offensive wealth.

Jacob Naumann started that off quickly as he got on the board for his first goal of the year less than one minute into the second half for the Vikings. 

With the game at 2-0 for much of the second half, both teams battled in a hard-fought foul-filled contest that saw four yellow cards (two for each team) called in the last 35 minutes of play.

Despite the physical play, CSU was able to put in a second goal byCazz Warren and goal by Mike Derezic after the Naumann goal to take away any doubt of who was going to walk away with a win.

The Vikings win came in a very balanced effort, especially on the offensive end. Not only did three different players score goals, three more players tallied assists.

For Kazemaini the win was a big one, not only for the standings, but for how the team played.

"We needed it, we needed one of these games where we kind of get everybody involved and score some goals," Kazemaini said. "I thought it was a perfect day for us."
