The Game
The Vikings will take to their home field one final time in 2024 tomorrow as they battle Utah at noon.

Last Game Out
Cleveland State was downed by Bellarmine on the road, 14-9, snapping its two-game winning streak. Alex Van Voorhis led the attack with four points on a goal and three assists. Reggie Regala picked up a team-best three ground balls and Evan Moskwa went 12-of-15 in the faceoff circle. Connor Kernan made 11 saves in goal.

About Utah
The Utes are winners of five straight and enter the game with an 8-4 overall record and a 6-1 mark in ASUN games. Utah will be playing its third straight game away from home, topping Lindenwood on Wednesday, April 10, 17-5, and Mercer two days later, 20-9.

Utah ranks 22nd in the country in scoring offense (12.58) and 16th in scoring defense (9.92). The Utes are third in the nation in turnovers per game, with just 13.17. Ryan Sines leads the attack with 36 goals, while Tyler Bradbury is tops in assists with 19. Nikko DiPonio and Joey Boylston pace the defense with 21 caused turnovers, while DiPonio has scooped up a team-best 55 ground balls. Colin Lenskold has started every game in goal, accumulating 139 saves.

This will be the fourth contest between these two teams, with Utah holding a 3-1 advantage. The Utes have won the lone two games in Cleveland, with the last coming in 2022 by a score of 15-11. Last season, Utah won at home, 19-12.

Protecting the Cage
Connor Kernan has 113 career saves, with 109 of those coming this season, putting him in the fifth spot in the career saves category. The New Freedom, Pa., native is unbeaten at home and six saves shy of the fifth spot in the single-season category.

Scooping-Up the Ball
Evan Moskwa has 161 career ground balls, placing him second in the career rankings. The senior is 104 ground balls shy of the top spot, which is held by Danny Tesler (2017-20).

The Faceoff Crew
Cleveland State's faceoff crew of Evan MoskwaCharlie Williams, and Robbie Stewart hold the second through fourth spots in the all-time record book. Moskwa (299), Williams (160), and Stewart (97) are chasing Danny Tesler's mark of 478.

Strong Year for the Freshman
Wyatt Robertson is one goal shy of the fifth spot in the single-season goal category as the freshman has a team-best 20 thus far.

ASUN Poll
The Green and White were chosen to finish seventh for the second straight season in the preseason poll. Utah took the No. 1 spot after receiving nine first-place votes for 99 points. Jacksonville was second with 82 points and Air Force was third with a first-place vote and 80 points.

NEC in 2025

This will be the final season in the ASUN for Cleveland State before moving over to the NEC for the 2025 season. The Vikings will be one of five affiliated members of the seven-team NEC lacrosse conference, as the Green and White will be joined by fellow Horizon League members Detroit Mercy and Robert Morris. VMI and Mercyhurst make up the two other affiliated members, while the other teams in the conference include core members, Le Moyne, LIU, and Wagner.
