The Game
Cleveland State plays its third game in seven days tomorrow on the road at Bellarmine with a noon faceoff.

Last Game Out
The Vikings remained perfect at home in conference play after defeating Queens 12-7 on Wednesday afternoon. Parker Yearego led the offense with his third hat-trick of the year, tying him for the team lead in goals with 19. Reigning ASUN Defensive Player of the Week, Connor Kernan stayed unbeaten at home after making 19 saves, the second most in a single game in program history.

About Bellarmine
The Knights carry an 8-5 overall record and an identical 4-2 ASUN record. Bellarmine has won four of its last five including their most recent outing against Robert Morris at home on Wednesday, 15-12.

John Alie paces the attack with 38 goals, Benny O'Rourk has 24 tallies, and Kyle Playsted has 23 goals. Playsted is tops on the team in assists with 21. Christopher Reynolds leads the defense with 16 caused turnovers and 35 ground balls. Grant Guthrie has won 67 faceoffs and Aidan Fearn is just one back. JC Higginbotham has started every game in goal with 167 saves.

Series History
This will be the eighth game between these two squads, with Bellarmine holding a 4-3 advantage. Bellarmine has won three straight, including the previous two meetings in Louisville. This past season, the Vikings fell at home, 13-8.

Award Week for the Vikes
Connor Kernan earned his second ASUN Defensive Player of the Week honor after making 12 saves to go along with two ground balls and an assist on the final goal against the Bears.

Dylan Tomarchio was selected to the USILA Team of the Week after scoring five goals in the home win over Mercer on Saturday, Apr. 6.

Protecting the Cage
Kernan has 102 career saves, with 98 of those coming this season, putting him in the fifth spot in the career saves category. The New Freedom, Pa., native is 6-2 on the year with a perfect 4-0 mark at home.

Scooping-Up the Ball
Evan Moskwa has 157 career ground balls, placing him second in the career rankings. The senior is 108 ground balls shy of the top spot, which is held by Danny Tesler (2017-20).

The Faceoff Crew
Cleveland State's faceoff crew of Evan MoskwaCharlie Williams, and Robbie Stewart hold the second through fourth spots in the all-time record book. Moskwa (287), Williams (158), and Stewart (97) are chasing Danny Tesler's mark of 478.

The Green and White were chosen to finish seventh for the second straight season in the preseason poll. Utah took the No. 1 spot after receiving nine first-place votes for 99 points. Jacksonville was second with 82 points and Air Force was third with a first-place vote and 80 points.

NEC in 2025

This will be the final season in the ASUN for Cleveland State before moving over to the NEC for the 2025 season. The Vikings will be one of five affiliated members of the seven-team NEC lacrosse conference, as the Green and White will be joined by fellow Horizon League members Detroit Mercy and Robert Morris. VMI and Mercyhurst make up the two other affiliated members, while the other teams in the conference include core members, Le Moyne, LIU, and Wagner.
