Viking Billy Houle In Second After First Day Of Piper Invitational

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - The Cleveland State men's golfers find themselves in a third-place tie with Marquette University after two rounds at the BGSU John Piper Intercollegiate Invitational in Bowling Green, Ohio.

The Vikings carded back-to-back rounds of 295 en route to their first-day score of 590, 14 strokes off leader Eastern Michigan.

CSU sophomore Billy Houle (Joilette, Quebec/George Vanier) currently stands in a second-place tie with a 70-70---140 at the Stone Ridge Golf Course and is only two strokes off the lead going into the final round today.

Ohio Wesleyan's Chad Poling stands atop the leader board with a six-under-par 70-68--138.

Vikings Christian Komsa (Tecumseh, Ontario/E.J. Brennen) and Mike Bognar (Seven Hills, Ohio/Normandy) are tied for 23rd with scores of 149.
