RE: 2006 NCAA DIVISION I MEN'S CENTRAL REGIONAL GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP

Cleveland State University is pleased host the 2006 NCAA Division I Men's Central Regional Golf Championship at Sand Ridge Golf Club on May 18-20. The top teams from each of the three regionals will advance to the NCAA Golf Championships in Sunriver, OR. Teams expected to compete include national powers Oklahoma State and Texas, along with Ohio State, Notre Dame and Kent State.

CSU is proud to be a part of this wonderful event at Sand Ridge and will be helping to coordinate volunteers. If you are an avid golfer or just a casual observer, this is an opportunity to help make this championship a success and be able to see some of the top amateurs and future PGA Tour players compete on a nationally-ranked golf course. Hopefully, you will be able to volunteer your time during this event and possibly recruit a few other volunteers (spouse, parent, friends) to help as well.

Serving as a volunteer will be free of charge, we only ask for your commitment to work at least 12 hours during the championship. We would like to have 65-75 volunteers on site throughout the championship performing a variety of duties, including marshals, hole-by-hole scorers, cart shuttle, parking, clubhouse, range and miscellaneous.

Volunteer Package: Each volunteer will receive a complimentary NCAA Central Regional windshirt and hat. Meals will also be provided during your volunteer shifts. Volunteers will be scheduled for shifts on a first-come, first-serve basis. All volunteers are asked to work a minimum of twelve (12) hours during the championship's three days.

Parking at Sand Ridge Golf Club is limited and designated only for teams and tournament officials. Volunteers, staff and other personnel will be parking across the street from Sand Ridge at the drive-in movie theatre. Shuttles will be available to transport volunteers and staff to the course.

Please join us in helping to make the 2006 NCAA Men's Division I Central Regional Championship at Sand Ridge Golf Club a tremendous success for the club and northeast Ohio.
