INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Cleveland State junior golfer Jake Scott earned his second consecutive Horizon League Athlete of the Week honor after tying for sixth place at the Hoosier Invitational over the weekend.

The league office made the announcement on Wednesday evening.

"This is another great honor for Jake," head coach Steve Weir said. "He has been playing good golf for us this spring and I expect him to continue to play at the level that he is at. He needs to be in contention at every tournament we are at."

Scott fired rounds of 73-72 to finish in a tie for sixth place with a 36 hole total of 145. The final 18 holes were cancelled due to inclement weather at the par-71, 6,813-yard IU Golf Course.

Scott leads the team with a 72.6 scoring average and has posted five top-10 finishes in seven events this season.

The Vikings will be back in action on Saturday (April 5) when CSU competes at the 36-hole Notre Dame Invitational. CSU will then travel to southern Ohio to participate in the 54-hole Wright State Invitational on Sunday and Monday (April 6-7).
