CLEVELAND - Cleveland State fired a tournament-best 279 in the final round to vault into second place at the Ohio Collegiate Classic. Detroit won the tourney with a 851 team total. The two-day tournament was held at Beachwood Golf Club in Arcanum, Ohio.
The Vikings were propelled by sophomore Christian Komsa's (Tecumseh, Ontario/E.J. Brennan) 67 in the final round. Senior Craig Hicks (Tecumseh, Ontario/Belle River) was CSU's most consistent golfer, firing rounds of 73, 71 and 70 to finish eighth overall at -2.
UW-Green Bay's Brian Berggren earned medalist honors with a three-round total of 210 (-6).
