The Cleveland State men's golfers participated in the Butler Fall Invitational Monday and Tuesday, finishing seventh in three rounds. The Vikings carded a 297-301-300---898 at the par 71 Eagle Creek Golf Course.
Senior Christian Komsa (Tecumseh, Ontario/E.J. Brennen) put up his best showing of the year, leading the CSU golfers with a third-place score of 70-73-70---213. Senior P.J. Myers (Westlake, Ohio/St. Ignatius) finished in a tie for 20th with a score of 76-73-75---224 while sophomore Billy Houle (Joilette, Quebec/Georges Vanier) carded a 74-78-74---226 for a 25th-place tie.
Butler University took team medallist honors at their home event, shooting a 294-289-288---871 to edge Tennessee Tech by three strokes. Eric Anderson of TT claimed top individual honors with a 70-67-72---209.
The Vikings will compete next at the Colonel Classic at Eastern Kentucky on September 27-28.
