The Cleveland State men's golf team competed at Ball State's Earl Yestingsmeier Invitational over the weekend, placing 13th overall. The Vikings carded a 301-297-299---897 at the par 72 Players Club in Yorktown, Ind.
Junior Mike Bognar (Seven Hills, Ohio/Normandy) led the CSU squad, tying for tenth overall with a score of 71-74-71---216. Senior Christian Komsa (Tecumseh, Ontario/E.J. Brennen) shot three rounds of 75 to finish with a 225 while senior P.J. Myers (Westlake, Ohio/St. Ignatius) tallied a 77-71-80---228.
The golfers from Austin Peay won the tournament, carding a 286-284-286---856 thanks in part to the play of individual medallist Matt Gallant (69-70-70---209).
The Vikings continue the fall portion of their season at the Butler Invitational today and tomorrow.
