HUNTINGTON, W. Va. - Kent Monas shot a final round two-under-par 69 to help Cleveland State shoot a final round 285 and finish 14th at at the Marshall Invitational on Tuesday morning at the par-71, 6,534-yard Guyan Golf and Country Club.

The Vikings opened with scores of 289 and 290 on Monday and wound up four shots behind Bowling Green.

Ohio State won the event at 820 (273-274-273).

"We made 13 birdies today, but were one over as a team and that can't happen," head coach Steve Weir said. "We have some things to fix up before we hit the course again. We have our work cut out for us over the next few weeks and are going to have to clean some things up."

Monas finished in a tie for 12th place with a 54 hole total of 208 (70-69-69), while Michael Klaric tied for 52nd and 217 (73-73-71).

Freshman Andrew Bailey fired a one-under-par 70 in today's final round.

The Vikings are out of action until Sept. 27-28 when they compete at the John Piper Invitational in Bowling Green, Ohio.
