HUNTINGTON, W. Va. - Cleveland State shot a final round 293 and finished 13th of 15 teams at the 54 hole Marshall Invitational that concluded on Tuesday at the par-71, 6,534-yard Guyan Golf and Country Club.

The Vikings opened with rounds of 291 and 284 on Monday.

"We were able to get off to a much better start today and I thought we had a chance to make a little run, but we scuffled a bit during the middle of the round and that cost us," assistant coach Doug Barber said. "It's back to the drawing board and see what we can do at Bowling Green."

Junior Michael Klaric shot a final round 70, the low round of the day for the Vikings, and finished tied for 40th at 217 (72-75-70).

Sophomore Andrew Bailey was CSU's top finisher, carding rounds of 71-70-74 to tie for 29th place at 215.

CSU is back in action on Monday and Tuesday (Sept. 19-20) when the Vikings compete in the John Piper Invitational.
