HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. - Cleveland State shot a final round 303 and finished third of eight teams at the Horizon League Championship that concluded on Sunday at the par-72, 6,933-yard Mission Inn Resort.
The Vikings opened with rounds of 304 and 308 on Friday and Saturday for a 54-hole total of 915.
Loyola captured the league title with a 54-hole total of 909, two shots better than runner-up Green Bay (911).
CSU was followed by Detroit (918), Wright State (924), Butler (927), Valparaiso (928) and Youngstown State (929).
Jon Riemer capped his outstanding tournament with a 75 today, finishing in fifth place to earn a spot on the all-tournament team. Riemer carded a 54-hole total of 225 (74-76-75),just three shots behind Green Bay's Chad Ebert who claimed medalist honors at 222 (74-76-72).
Andrew Bailey (76-77-76) and Michael Balcar (77-78-74) tied for 14th place at 229, while Brendan Byrne tied for 29th place at 237 (79-80-78) and Michael Klaric tied for 32nd at 239 (77-77-85).
The league tournament concludes the 2011-12 season for the Vikings.
