MUNCIE, Ind. - Cleveland State shot rounds of 376 and 387 and is in 10th place of 15 teams after the first day of the Earl Yestingmeier Invitational at the par-70, 6,438-yard Delaware C.C.

The format has each team playing six golfers with the five lowest scores counting as opposed to the traditional five players playing and the four lowest scores counting.

"We just didn't get it done today," head coach Steve Weir said. "The weather wasn't great, but that's not an excuse. We have to find a way to go out tomorrow and post a good number leading up to the league championship next year."

Freshman Andrew Bailey and senior Patrick Elber are the top Vikings on the leaderboard, tied for 24th place at 150. Bailey opened with an even-par 70 and followed with an 80, while Elber shot back-to-back 75's.

The event is scheduled to conclude with the final 18 holes on Sunday with a 9:00 am shotgun start.
