HIGHLAND, Mich. - Cleveland State shot a final round 303 and finished fifth of 13 teams at the Detroit Titan Invitational that was played at par-72, 7,142-yard at Prestwick Village G.C.

CSU played the event with just four players, meaning all four counted their scores for each of the three rounds as opposed to the traditional play five and count the four lowest.

The Vikings had opened with rounds of 296 and 295 on Friday and were in fifth place after day one.

CSU's 54 hole total was 894.

"Conditions were a little tougher today, but I like the way we battled and hung in there," head coach Steve Weir said. "It's always tough to go into a tournament with just four players, but I was very impressed with the way the guys stayed focused and played each round."

Michael Klaric was CSU's top finisher, tying for fifth place with a 54-hole total of 214 (73-68-73).

Andrew Bailey and Michael Balcar tied for 16th place at 223, while Brendan Byrne was tied for 50th at 234.

CSU plays in its final event before the Horizon League Championship when the Vikings compete in the Ball State Invitational on April 21-22.
