BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Cleveland State shot rounds of 298-297 and is in seventh place out of 16 teams after the first two rounds of the Adidas Indiana Invitational on Saturday.

The two-day, 54-hole event is being played at par-71, 6.813-yard IU Championship Golf Course.

"We had a bad stretch of holes to end our first round and start the second round and that really cost us," head coach Steve Weir said. "I thought the course got a little easier as the day went on, but we were not able to take advantage of that. We'll get some rest tonight and hopefully come out and put together a better round tomorrow."

The Vikings will enter the final round just two shots back of DePaul (593) and seven shots behind fifth place Western Illinois (588).

Indiana shot 287 and 274 and leads the tournament at seven-under-par 561.

Senior Jake Scott is tied for fifth place after rounds of 70-71 (141) put him at one-under par.

Indiana's Jorge Campillo (68-67) and Eastern Kentucky's Trey Bowling (65-70) are tied for the individual lead at seven-under-par 135.

The final round is scheduled to begin on Sunday (April 12) at 9:00 p.m.
