NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Cleveland State women's golf team put together rounds of 303 and 308 and stands in 15th place with a 611 total after the first day of the Belmont Invitational. The Vikings are part of a 17-team field competing at the par 71, 6,759 yard Vanderbilt Legends Club.

Missouri is running away with the team title as all four counting scores were at par or better. The Tigers' two-round total of 548 (-20) is 21 shots clear of second place Tennessee Tech.

CSU's Ben Grandy put together rounds of 72 and 71 -- his best two scores of the spring -- and stands in a tie for 19th at one over par. Mike Rutgers is tied for 70th at 144 (77-77).

Missouri's Chris Mabry and Shawn Jasper are tied for the individual lead at 133, three strokes ahead of Tennessee State's Robert Dinwiddie. Both Mabry and Jasper set the tournament record in the first round with matching 63s.

The tournament concludes on Tuesday (April 5) with 18 holes in the morning.
