AVON, Ind. - Cleveland State shot a final round 310 and finished seventh of 13 teams at the 36 hole Butler Spring Invitational on Tuesday. The two day tournament was played at the par-72, 6,690-yard Prestwick G.C.
CSU opened with a 303 on Monday.
"We didn't have our best stuff today and it cost us a few spots in the standings," head coach Steve Weir said. "We had a chance to salvage a decent round, but really faltered down the stretch over the last three or four holes. We'll have to figure out a way to straighten some things out and learn how to close out rounds and tournaments if we want to reach our ultimate goals."
Senior Kent Monas followed his opening round 71 with a 76 today, tying for eighth place overall at 147.
Senior Drew Davidson tied Monas for CSU's best round today, carding a 76 to finish tied for 35th (79-76-155).
The Vikings will be back in action on April 9-10 when CSU competes at the adidas Indiana Invitational.
