GOODYEAR, Ariz. - Cleveland State shot a final round 301 and finished 13th of 14 teams at the Desert Shootout. The three-day, 54-hole event was contested at the par-72, 7,105-yard Palm Valley Golf Course.

"We just didn't get anything going all weekend," head coach Steve Weir said. "I think we could have put up some better numbers on this course, but it just didn't happen. We'll go back to the range and try to straighten things out and get ready for our next event."

Sophomore Kent Monas paced the Vikings with a three-round total of 217, carding a 72 today. That followed rounds of 68 and 77.

Senior Jake Scott tied for 46th, shooting rounds of 68-73-77 for a 217 total.

The Vikings totaled 884 for the event with rounds of 287, 296 and 301.

CSU will return to action on March 28-29 when the Vikings compete at the Ball State Invitational.
