HOWIE-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. - The wind picked up on Tuesday and the scores followed suit in the final round Notre Dame Irish Invitational. Cleveland State finished 13th in its first tournament of the spring at the Mission Inn Golf Club in Howie-in-the-Hills, Fla.

Wichita State held on to its first day lead to edge Colorado State by four shots (885-889). The Shockers' Judd Easterling claimed medalist honors with a 215, five shots clear of three golfers for second.

Ben Grandy paced the Vikings with a 242 to finish in 54th, while Doug Barber was 59th with a 245.

"Conditions were very difficult today, but it was still a disappointing performance," CSU head coach Tom Porten said. "The good thing is, we have almost two weeks to get ready to play again."

Cleveland State is in action again when the Vikings travel to the William & Mary Invitational on March 20-21 in Williamsburg, Va.
