Cleveland State Golf Teams Set for Horizon League Championship

Howey in the Hills, FL-The Cleveland State golf programs have made it to Mission Inn Resort for the Horizon League Golf Championship. The teams completed a practice round today and the first round will begin tomorrow. 

For the first time in recent history both teams will play the same golf course as the men's and women's tournament will be contested at Mission Inn's El Campeon course. The 18-hole layout has been in existence for over 100 years and is regarded as one of the best resort courses in the state. The two teams will alternate morning and afternoon tee times throughout the three-day event. The first round will see the men's teams tee off in the morning and the women's teams in the afternoon.

The men's team is seeded fifth and the women's team is seeded sixth coming into the tournament. Both teams will start five players with the top four scores counting for the team total.

The men's lineup will consist of Brody Simms, Andrew Kaye, Mason Frazier, Dillon Pendergast and Dominik Cosic. The Vikings will begin the tournament off the first tee at 7:30 a.m.

The women's lineup features Mandie Ruminski, Olivia Swain, Brynna Mardis, Kaitlin Kormuth and Lola Barnett. The women's team begins the tournament off the 10th tee with tee times starting at 1:20 p.m.

Live scoring will be available on Golfstat throughout the tournament for both teams.
